In 1987, the late Archbishop Abdo Khalife ordained Monsignor Shora as a priest. Aged 26 Monsignor became assistant priest in the Maronite Parish of St. Maroun's Adelaide. He remained there until 1991 when he was appointed Dean of St. Maroun's Maronite Cathedral, Redfern. He was elevated to Monsignor in 1995. In 1998 he served as parish priest at St. Joseph's Parish Croydon and in 2004 became parish priest at Our Lady of Lebanon, Harris Park. Here, Monsignor was involved in the establishment and initiatives of the Maronite Family and Adult Counselling Service. The OLOL Community Youth and Pastoral Centre was built as part of the initiative. Monsignor began a new pastoral mission in 2015 to establish Christ the Redeemer (CTR) Maronite Parish of The Hills. Appointed parish priest in 2016 Monsignor oversaw the purchase of a 5 acre property to serve as the CTR parishioners' spiritual and communal home, headquarters of the Hills Sanctuary House (HSH) Community Shed Charity.
